Late 18th Century Double Cruise “Betty” Grease Lamp | Wrought Iron | Original Spike | Primitive Lighting This is an authentic late 18th-century double cruise, commonly referred to as a “Betty” lamp — a classic example of early American and colonial lighting. Both upper and lower pans are matching and hand-forged from wrought iron. The original wall spike is still attached, though the chain and wick pick are no longer present. This piece shows great patina and age character, with old grease stains and light scratching on the bottoms of both pans — exactly what you’d expect from a well-used piece of this era. Structurally, it's in excellent condition for its age, and displays beautifully and in still usable condition. Details: Late 1700s (18th century) Matching forged wrought iron pans Original hanging spike intact No chain or wick pick Authentic wear from use — old grease marks, light surface wear Perfect for: Primitive or colonial decor Living history or period reenactment Antique lighting collectors Museum or display settings Condition: Excellent for age.
